Empowering Teens:
Helping At-Risk Youth (13–17) Overcome Challenges
Investing in Tomorrow:
Helping At-Risk Youth (Ages 13–17) Thrive
At Power Counseling PLLC, we provide trauma-informed mental health services, including virtual online therapy, to clients across Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey. Our work focuses on supporting at-risk adolescents ages 13–17 who are navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and environmental challenges.
We recognize that adolescence is a critical developmental period and that early, compassionate intervention can significantly influence long-term outcomes. Our clinicians create a safe, non-judgmental space where teens feel heard, respected, and supported. Using evidence-based, developmentally appropriate approaches, we help adolescents build emotional regulation skills, strengthen decision-making, and develop long-term resilience.
We support adolescents experiencing challenges including, but not limited to:
- Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
- Substance use and substance-related concerns
- Teen pregnancy and related stressors
- Academic difficulties and risk of high school dropout
- Bullying and peer relationship challenges
- Youth navigating identity development
- Depression and mood disorders
- Anxiety and stress-related concerns
- Family conflict and strained caregiver relationships
- Involvement with the juvenile justice system
- Probation and court-related stressors
How Power Counseling PLLC Can Help At-Risk Youth
