MEET OUR CLINICIANS

AZUBIKE ALICHE, LICSW, LCSW-C

Power Counseling PLLC

Many of my clients call me, simply, Zubbie or Dr. Zubbie. I like that informal environment, as it allows us to build the kind of relationship that helps with the success of our work in therapy. I think it helps, too, that my clients tell me that I am a good and empathic listener.  My approach is to work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their goals in therapy - to attain optimal health and reach their full potential.

I'm licensed in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey. I specialize in working with adults, focusing on emotional and relationship problems, including depression, anxiety, anger management, domestic violence, and sexual aggression. My preferred therapy approach is cognitive-behavioral and family systems approaches. I stay updated with evidence-based treatment models to help you achieve your goals in the shortest of time possible. As a Board Approved Social Work Supervisor in two states, I also offer clinical supervision to newer therapists. I also offer consultation and training to corporations as well as Employee Assistance Programs.

I completed masters and doctoral degree work in clinical social work and leadership at Rutgers University and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, respectively.
